Something cool could be happening at the pool as exciting plans to create a “family leisure water facility” at Whitehill & Bordon Leisure Centre are taking shape.
Early proposals to extend and improve the pool are in the pipeline with water slides and a splashpad among the touted additions.
EHDC and their partners are keen to splash out with cabinet members set to approve further investigations this Thursday evening.
A new leisure water space containing a splashpad, slides and water features has been suggested as the leisure centre lacks the “dedicated activity space for families” offered by Petersfield and Alton sites.
Council officers and their Active Leisure partners believe adding a water facility – with a “multi-level aquatic adventure” area – would allow more fun and opportunities to give younger children the confidence to swim.
“There is a strong and significant evidence base for improved provision of leisure water and family swimming facilities in the district to meet the needs of the growing population,” states the report.
