A warm welcome awaits anyone interested in taking up the sport of lawn bowls at the friendly Seale and Sands Bowls Club, a club that’s been serving its local community since 1927.
Each year the club host taster days for the local community. The first one is being held on the morning of Sunday, May 12. A club spokesperson said: “Everyone is welcome and all you need is a pair of flat sole shoes. Everything is provided free of charge. If you’re interested in having a go please contact the organiser on 07786 019227. There will be plenty of club members to help and encourage you.”
The Seale and Sands Bowls Club is one of the premier clubs in the area with many team and individual achievements behind them. Last season the club won their third consecutive Farnham and District League title and the club host successful men’s and women’s teams in local leagues.
The club spokesperson added: “Seale and Sands Bowling Club is a club for all ages and abilities. We pride ourselves in being a friendly club and the sport of bowls is very easy to learn and play, though not always easy to master. New members are always welcome at Seale and Sands. We’re tucked away next to the Royal British Legion but we have one of the best-kept facilities in the region. It is a joy to play at.”
