Haslemere Bowling Club took part in the national bowls for fun open day at their club at the Recreation Ground on Old Haslemere Road.

Club members welcomed 15 visitors who were able to learn some of the basics of green bowling and try their hand at the game.

Club and league captains had an eye open for new talent.

Vice-captain Judy Rix said: “Alongside a cream tea and gentle coaching, an enjoyable afternoon was had by all.

“New members are welcome – just come along on Monday or Thursday afternoons from 2pm to have a go and join in.”
