A councillor has made a class gesture to an East Hampshire school for youngsters who cannot access mainstream education.
Cllr Adeel Shah met the headteacher and staff of The Green Room Kingsley while delivering baked items from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to the school.
The school is part of a foundation which provides education to around 40 Year 7 to 11 students through a combination of therapeutic, academic, creative and physical education.
It gives pupils the chance “to rise above the negative experiences they’ve endured” and start a path to a better life.
Cllr Shah said it was a pleasure to meet the team and to hear about the “wonderful work” the staff are doing with students.
The visit followed an AMC charity event on the other side of the school involving their youth, elders and ladies associations.
The events showcased of the AMC’s charity and community work in East Hampshire and around the world.
