Fly-tippers continue to leave their mark around East Hampshire as lanes near Farnham, Bordon and Petersfield have been blocked during the last fortnight

An emergency clean-up operation took place on Redlands Lane last Tuesday (October 1) with pallets, plywood, buckets and green waste being dumped on the single-track lane near Crondall.

A similar incident took place two days later near Blackmoor as the Eveley Lane BOAT (Byway Open to All Traffic) was blocked with building and green waste covering the track and a further incident being reported between Clanfield and East Meon.

The piles have seen been removed but the incidents have once again highlighted concerns about Hampshire County Council plans to close a dozen tips – with the Bordon and Petersfield HWRCs being among the 12 suggested for the axe.

Pleas have also gone out for residents to use reputable contractors and waste carriers when needing clearance work as the culprits likely know the area.
