Farnham Runners enjoyed an impressive Hampshire Road Race League season.

The men’s A and B teams were promoted to the top divisions and the ladies finished mid-table in the top A and B divisions.

The men’s A2 team finished second out of ten teams, while the B2 team finished top out of 13 clubs. The C team finished seventh out of ten clubs.

The ladies’ A1 finished sixth out of ten clubs, while the B1 team placed fifth out of ten and the C team were fourth out of eight clubs.

Linda Tyler ran in all 12 races. She was first lady back for Farnham in eight races and second in three. She will top the Farnham ladies’ ranking on the mugs for those who ran at least seven of the races, in 18th place, with Candy Waller 27th, Bridget Naylor 30th, Gemma Whitehouse 40th, Jane Georghiou 41st and Colette Grist 45th.

The top Farnham man was Ivan Chunnett in 51st place, with Tony Jones 54th, Richard Denby 57th, Justin Clarke 71st, Chris Raby 73rd, James Goodwin 77th, Andy Brown 79th and Chris Gill 119th.

The final four races were the Alton 10, Netley 10km, Alresford 10km and Lordshill 10km.

Farnham Runners had 29 runners at the Alton 10. Joe Collins finished 15th in 1:03.41. Leza Milligan was the first lady back for the club in 1:20.16.

Farnham Runners had 19 runners at the Netley 10km. Joe Collins led in the Farnham contingent and finished 16th in 36.17.

Lizzie May was sixth lady and first Farnham Runner home in the Alresford 10km in 40.53.

May led in the Farnham contingent in the Lordshill 10km. She was 15th lady and finished in 39.40.
