Skater boys and girls have been urged to make tracks to Bordon this weekend as a wheely exciting event is taking place.
Whitehill Town Council have upped their credibility among the town’s BMX and skating fraternity by resurfacing the Jubilee Park Pump Track.
The original design has been retained but its now boasts a new smooth and friendlier surface, allowing more children to get on their bike or scooter and try it out.
A pump and repair station has also been created nearby with users hailing the “amazing” improvements.
The Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust will celebrate the revamp by holding a Track Fest event at the pump track in partnership with WTC from midday to 4pm this Sunday, October 6.
The free event will be split into four hour-long sessions with scooters, BMX and skateboarders from midday, 2pm and 3pm, respectively, and an open session from 1pm.
There’s a further treat as organisers have invited specialists Camp Rubicon to put on a show, while giving riders of all ages and abilities a “chance to showcase their skills and passion”.
The group said: “We love to reward big smiles and style as much as we do fast laps of track and tricks, so join us for a day of music, food and fun at the Bordon Pump Track.”
There’s no excuse to go hungry with The Great Big Pig and the Absolute Spud Shack dishing up a hog roast and jacket potatoes. Waffles and cakes will also be available along with hot drinks from the Final Furlong.
