Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have 11 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A3, from 8pm October 10 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Berelands, carriageway closure between the exit and entry slips roads for structures maintenance.
• A3, from 8pm October 10 to 6am November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Berelands, carriageway closure between the exit and entry slips roads for structures maintenance.
• A3, from 8pm October 10 to 6am November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Berelands, carriageway closure between the exit and entry slips roads for structures maintenance.
• A27, from 8pm November 1 to 6am December 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 both directions Hartsfarm Way, Slip and roundabout closure for inspections.
• A3, from 9pm October 23 2023 to 6am February 29 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A3, from 8pm November 9 to 6am November 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Sheet, entry slip road and lane closure for drainage works, diversion via local authorities network.
• A3, from 7am November 13 to 6pm November 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound, Weston to Berelands, Lay-by closure for barrier repairs.
• A3, from 8pm November 13 to 6am November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.
• A3, from 8pm November 16 to 6am November 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Flexcombe to Ham Barn, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.
• M3, from 8pm November 20 to 6am December 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 5, slip road and lane closure's for drainage works, diversion via National Highways Network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
