Funds from one of the biggest events on the Lindford calendar could be used to revamp a village play area.

Parish councillors held a lengthy discussion about improving Chase Farm play area after a meeting with a community engagement manager at EHDC.

Lindford Parish Council has reserves and can apply for grants from various sources like the National Lottery and through developer funding and levies.

But they’ve also suggesting investing income from the summer fete rather than donating it charity.

Councillors agreed at their February meeting to apply for grants through the aforementioned sources.

They’ve also agreed to use fete income for the project if grant funding is available, but will otherwise donate it to Hampshire & Iow Air Ambulance if their grant applications are rejected.
