The event saw people trying their hands at an array of activities.
The concept of the day is simple - organisations offer visitors a free go at a sport, a pastime or a creative pursuit, with the day providing a fun way to learn more about what is available in Whitehill and Bordon.
The Town Partnership’s Curtis Bone said the event had been “a huge success again this year”, with between 1,500 and 2,000 people in attendance.
“This year was a record for organisations attending with more than 40 booked in,” he added. “We also increased our hired-in attractions to include a soft-play area and a bungee run.
“On the day, we had support from the Woolmer Lions, Barnardo’s, the Country Market and, of course, our good friends at Tesco.
“We have had nothing but positive comments and, as of Tuesday, 15 organisations have already booked for next year’s event which will be on August 10.”
The Partnership said the day also provided support beyond exposure to a number of groups.
Scouts made more than £300 profit running the barbecue, which will go towards their expedition to Austria next year.
The £130 made on the candy floss cart will be going to the Friends of Woodlea School. And the Foodbank made £70 providing ploughman’s lunches, which will go towards its running costs.
To illustrate the event’s popularity, the Partnership said it gave away 30kg of fruit, supplied by Country Market, and went through 35 litres of bubble mixture.
The Partnership’s fixtures left in its calendar are: its firework display, on November 7; Christmas fair on December 1 with a free pantomime; and, new this year, a Santa fun run on December 9.
