Farnham Town manager Paul Johnson has insisted he wants his side to maintain their standards after winning the Isthmian League South Central Division.

Town won 3-0 at home to Sutton Common Rovers in their first game since winning the league, but Johnson admitted his side fell below their usual standards.

“It was a really poor game of football,” said Johnson.

“It's always difficult after the highs of winning the league, but I'm disappointed.

“The good moments were the goals – barring that there was very little in the game of quality.

“I want more – I want better quality on the ball.

“You set standards and we didn't quite get up to that.

“With the way we've been and what we've achieved this year and the way we've played – we were off it for large parts.

“Too many players had a bad day. These things do happen, I get that – especially after the highs – but I’m a little bit disappointed with some of the quality.

“Sutton Common were a poor side, there's no hiding behind that.

“They offered very little and made it a little bit scrappy.

“It's a missed opportunity because there could have been a lot of goals out there.

“We want 100 points and to try to get as close as we can to 100-plus goal difference.

“We're happy we've got three points and we move on.”
