Headley’s second and third teams will play at the ground for nine Saturdays as part of the I’Anson league, with the second XI’s first match taking place on Saturday against Chiddingfold’s seconds.
Keith Ellis of Headley said: “We are delighted recreational cricket is up and running. We’re making sure we adhere to the government guidelines to ensure it is safe for all teams and spectators.
“It was great to be back playing at BOSC, which is such a lovely ground with a great pavilion, and seeing the local community out in force watching.”
Junior friendly games will follow soon and there may be some ladies’ cricket later in the season at BOSC.
The club are looking for more players, so anyone who has a love for playing the game or would like to start, should email [email protected] for details.
Martyna Cawdron of BOSC, said: “We are very pleased to be able to offer the local community the opportunity to watch live cricket at BOSC this summer. Those looking to grab lunch are able to book a table, eat outside on the terrace, and watch the action unfold on the cricket pitch.”
