A RESIDENT from Liss was treated for minor smoke inhalation following a minor kitchen fire last Thursday evening.

A small grill pan fire had been extinguished by the time crews from Petersfield, Liphook and Bordon reached the Linden Drive property shortly after 6pm.

Fumes from the burning pan set off the alarm with the owner being assessed for inhalation at the scene.

Firefighters carried out community safety checks in the area before leaving at 7pm.
