AN ORCHARD will be serenaded this weekend as one of Britain’s strangest customs will take place at Petersfield Community Garden.
There will be Wassailing in the Orchard from 2pm to 3pm this Sunday, January 21, with songs by the Petersfield Community Choir and a performance by the Mafficking Border Morris.
There will also be a bonfire and apple tree pruning at the ceremony, traditionally held to promote a good harvest.
Bring your songs and good cheer to the free event.
