PATIENT ratings for food and cleanliness at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have once again scored highly.

The trust, which runs Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital, scored 98.08 per cent for cleanliness following its annual patient-led assessments of the care environment inspection.

Assessors also awarded the trust a score of 90.09 per cent for the quality of its food.

Speaking about North Hampshire Hospital, one patient assessor said: “The food and its service were of a very high standard.”

Julie Maskery, chief operating officer at the trust, said: “The patient assessors’ findings on cleanliness and food are very good and they reflect the huge amount of effort everyone at Hampshire Hospitals puts into creating a positive all-round experience for our patients.

“Patient feedback is a vital tool in making our services better and I am extremely grateful to all of those who took part in the assessments, which will also help us to identify potential areas for improvement.”
