Whitehill & Bordon residents have been urged to support a lottery-funded scheme to promote green and eco-friendly initiatives around their town.

Residents can learn more about Greening Whitehill & Bordon and its key aims during a public meeting from 10am at The Phoenix Theatre this Saturday (March 8).

The scheme aims to tackle climate change locally through a variety of initiatives like more energy efficient homes, improved waste prevention and extra space for nature.

It’s also got plenty of backers with supporters including the county and town council, the Hampshire Waste Prevention Team, Garden Organic and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

They’ve called on residents to play their part in moving the scheme forward and a make a difference as a community.
