Retro rock ’n’ rollers the TR5s will be cruising on down to The Shed in Bordon on February 17 at 8pm for what has been described by host Stuart Morrison as “a right royal rock ’n’ roll celebration and knees-up”.
Stuart, celebrating his 55th birthday and more than 30 years in entertainment, said: “I fell in love with my dad’s rock ’n’ roll collection as a kid, with fond memories of listening to Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Elvis, The Beatles, Little Richard and Carl Perkins and dancing round the front room with my mum.
“Who doesn’t love bopping to some classic rock ’n’ roll hits? Being in my 50s it seemed the perfect excuse to go back to the 50s and have a retro rock ’n’ roll birthday bash.”
The TR5s won the Best Band Original at the Graham Steel Music Awards Evening in Bracknell and they have played Weyfest, the 100 Club in London and many other festivals and events, regularly touring and performing locally and beyond.
Stuart added: “So put on your bobby socks and boogie shoes, jump in the Caddy and head to The Shed next Friday for a night of retro rock ‘n’ roll music and dancing.
“Don’t forget to put on your best retro gear as there will be a prize for the best period dress. See you later, alligator!”
