VOLUNTEERS at the Bordon Food Bank have called on residents to show some festive goodwill in the run up to the busiest time of the year.
They have begun collecting festive goodies with toiletries, socks, scarves and toys all high on their wish list, as their clients are given a bag of goodies with their food pack in Christmas week
Although the Food Bank is well supported by Tesco, Lidl and Foods of Europe there is a never-ending need for donations as turnover is fast and demand is high.
The Food Bank handed out 130 packs during the week of November 3 and gives out around 300 tins of beans, 300 cartons of milk and more than 12 sacks of potatoes every week.
Donations of UHT milk, beans and canned vegetables, pasta sauce, tea bags, coffee and sugar, squash, biscuits, toiletries and nappies are always sought with plenty of drop-off points around town.
