A MAN has pleaded guilty to two counts of making malicious communications following a siege in Selborne.
Anthony Betsworth, 52, of Selborne Road, Selborne, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Friday where he was remanded on conditional bail. He is due before magistrates on April 5 for pre-sentence reports. Armed police were called to the scene just before 1am last Wednesday, March 13. The B3006 was closed from its junction with the A31 at Alton and the A3 at Greatham, as reported here last week.
Due to the proximity of the address, Selborne Primary School was also closed. The B3006 was re-opened at 9.25am following Mr Betsworth's arrest.
