Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A3, from 8pm January 18 to 6am January 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 both directions Flexcombe, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.
• A3, from 9pm October 23 2023 to 6am March 28 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A3, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Chalton, Lane closures for drainage work.
• A3, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Hogs Back to Longmoor, carriageway closure for maintenance works.
• A3, from 9pm January 26 to 6am January 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3M southbound, junction 2, entry slip road closure for construction improvement works, diversion via National Highways Network.
• A3, from 8pm January 29 to 6am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
