SHOPPERS will get a masterclass in locally produced art this Saturday when a teacher opens a gallery and “creative hub” in Petersfield.
Sarah Jane-Beacher hopes her Sage and Salt Studio will become a haven for art enthusiasts with mayor Cllr JC Crissey cutting the ribbon at 10am.
The gallery on Swan Street will boast work from more than 70 artisans with framed artwork, fused glass, ceramics, candles, sculptures and more.
Sarah is hopeful the gallery will become a cultural hub as the studio will serve as a hub for workshops and classes, providing a dynamic space for artists of all abilities to hone their creative skills.
Visitors will get a taste of things to come at the 10am grand opening with Christmas card and candle painting workshops, a candle painting workshop and a live demonstration by renowned local artist Carolynne Winchester.
There will also be a prize draw for a hamper featuring handpicked products from showcased artists.
