A PENSIONER with a head for heights has raised £1,161 for The Rowans after taking a walk on the wild side.
Iris Holt is used to going over the edge as she’s abseiled a dozen times in support of the hospice.
But the 13th was the hardest as the 87-year-old from Petersfield had to change her technique for the latest attempt down the Spinnaker Tower.
“We weren’t allowed to abseil down like usual because of the wind so we had to walk down the side,” said the serial fundraiser from Upper Heyshott.
“It was harder than usual but I still did it. I think this jump has raised the most yet so thank you to everyone for their support.”
She added: “I do it for the Rowans because the more I learn about them the more I realise what a wonderful place it is.”
