Gallery No.30 in Petersfield High Street is hosting an exhibition of environmentally conscious artworks by international artists until February 17.
Curated by Petersfield local Scarlett Rose, the exhibition is composed of contemporary art by Baiba Abelite and Visvaris Asaris.
Baiba’s work uses metal sheeting to convey the urbanisation of landscapes, intertwining the physical space with digitally altered realities such as AI, infrared and wifi signals.
Visvaris abstracts aerial views of landscapes, focusing on tones and texture, to highlight poetic narratives within our surroundings.
A spokesperson said: “The gallery is extremely fortunate to exhibit such globally acclaimed artists. Visvaris is extremely influential in his home country of Latvia and has artworks in private collections worldwide.
“Baiba has exhibited in a multitude of exhibitions across Europe and gained significant attention when her work was featured digitally in New York’s iconic Times Square. Currently she is exhibiting at the Paris Art Fair, and we are hosting her first UK exhibition. With her rapidly growing reputation, collectors around the globe are acquiring her work.”
Also on display are the works of local artists Donna Benton and Rebecca Donohue.
