TEENAGER Patrick Seaman, from Lindford, has been chosen as one of the people who will carry the Olympic Torch on its journey through Petersfield in July.
He was nominated by aunt Mary Jane Seaman in recognition of how he has overcome being born 70 per cent deaf and having degenerative eyesight.
He has also had epilepsy from an early age, but this is now controlled by medication. Having learned to speak with the help of the Elizabeth Foundation, in Portsmouth, 17-year-old Patrick, now attends Bohunt School, in Liphook, where he is studying for his GCSE exams.
