A FERNHURST woman is fed up with her neighbour’s tree overhanging her garden.
Freda Huffer, who lives in Nappers Wood, said: "This has been going on for two years.
"I’ve already lost a wooden shed because of it, but my neighbour doesn’t care. I could have given her the bill for it, but I didn’t.
"I’ve told Chichester District Council about it, and they said the tree has a preservation order on it."
In response, a Chichester District Council spokeswoman said: "We received an enquiry regarding an ash tree at this property.
"Because the tree is under a Tree Preservation Order either the owner or affected neighbour need to apply to have work carried out to the tree.
"If the tree is diseased or is posing a serious hazard, then work can potentially be carried out more quickly.
"We have advised both the neighbour and the tree owner of the process and how to apply, but to date we have not received any applications."
