On Sunday, December 10, Phyllis Tuckwell will be holding its Light up a Life service at 7.45pm outside Guildford Cathedral, to remember loved ones who have died. Anyone who would like to is welcome to attend, and can make a dedication in memory of their loved one.
Christmas can be a time when we feel our loved ones’ absence even more than usual, and this service offers a poignant way for people to come together to celebrate their loved ones’ lives. It includes readings and carols, and the image of a Christmas tree will be projected on to the front of the cathedral building.
Anyone who would like to can make a dedication in memory of their loved one by visiting www.pth.org.uk/lual Their loved one’s name will be projected on to the front of the cathedral after the service, until 10.30pm that evening, and will be printed in the Order of Service. All dedications must be made by Friday, November 24 in order to be included.
The service and dedications are open to everyone, whether their loved one was cared for by Phyllis Tuckwell or not. Anyone unable to attend can watch the live stream of the service at www.pth.org.uk/lual2023, a recording of which will be uploaded to the website afterwards.
We would like to thank Guildford Cathedral for hosting the service and Right at Home who are kindly sponsoring the event.
If you are planning on attending, please do wrap up warmly and bring a torch, as the service will be held outside.
