This year’s GCSE results at Churcher’s College brought many smiles to student’s faces and their families and teachers.
With around a quarter of exams at grade 9 and more than 50 per cent of all exams reaching grade 9 and 8. Demand for places in the Sixth Form at Churcher’s remains exceptionally high but it is not just about academic results.
Just after they had clearly performed so well in the exam hall, more than two hundred Churcher’s musicians were on the professional stage in London at Cadogan Hall enjoying standing ovations.
Over the summer there were expeditions to Mozambique, Eswatini and Norway and a team was completing the Welsh 3000s. The choir performed on stage at Disneyland Paris and there was national recognition for drama and art.
After all the regional and national sporting success of last year, pre-season training is just about to begin for the coming year.
