QUESTIONS will be asked next week about the likelihood of getting grants to fund a community hub in Greatham.

Greatham Parish Council is sending a representative to next Wednesday’s ‘Meet the Funders’ event at Liphook Millennium Hall.

The EHDC-organised event will give clubs, charities and parish councils the chance to have face-to-face meetings with organisations like the National Lottery and Arts Council on how to source funding.

Cllr Sarajane Bartlett will explore what funding streams may be available for possible GPC projects, like creating additional off-street parking to alleviate traffic issues during school hours.

Another project which is high on the list is the creation of a community hub containing a shop, social area, kitchen and public toilets.

She’s also offered to get in touch with Bordon Tesco bosses about using the retailer’s blue token scheme to raise funds for a parish council project.
