Families can expect a close encounter with some Jurassic park life at a beauty spot in Bordon this weekend.

Fun-seekers should make tracks to Hogmoor Inclosure this Sunday as the Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust is holding its biggest event of the year.

The group’s Fun Day from 11am to 4pm is being billed as their biggest and best yet with a packed programme of entertainment, crafts and street foods.

Don’t be surprised to see dinosaurs wandering around with other highlights including live music, barrel rides and a Punch & Judy show.

Pony Pals will bring donkeys, Shetland ponies and more loveable creatures while there’s no excuse for going hungry with a scouts BBQ, Dylan’s Ice Cream and Simply Hog Roast offering their tasty fayre.

“This is all about bringing our local community together,” said Sian Manning, WBCT community engagement officer.

“There’s going to be lots of fun but we’re also going to have lots of organisations like HomeStart setting up stall.

“It’s about offering lots of fun to the local community while showcasing the best of it.”

Visitors can expect numerous craft stalls with Cookie Bird, Pamperlucios, What Laura Made, K&J Crafts, AJM Jewellery and others setting up shop.

The WBCT board of trustees are also going to make “a big announcement” but Sian is keeping tight-lipped over what that might be.

She said: “There’s going to be a big announcement on the day but you’ll have to wait and see.”

Visitors are encouraged to walk or cycle to the site.
