Dame Jacqueline Wilson, a former Children’s Laureate best known for her Tracy Beaker books, will be the headline author at this year’s Farnham Literary Festival – returning from March 4 to 12.
The much-loved author will host a talk and Q&A at St Andrew’s Church on Sunday, March 12, from 3pm to 4pm, in conversation with Rob Verner-Jeffreys, manager of Waterstones Farnham.
The event is suitable for children aged seven-plus and their parents and carers.
Dame Jacqueline will be joined by a host of local authors and internationally-renowned writers throughout the literary festival week.
Expect a varied programme of more than 40 events taking place in venues across Farnham, including talks with award-winning novelist and broadcaster Ian Williams, doctor turned author Dr Jim Down and crime novelist Ava Glass.
You can also enjoy an evening of literary-themed song and opera from local group KT Tenuto, develop your own writing skills at an array of workshops, or enter the poetry competition.
