The famous team of Farnham Racing Ducks were “shocked and dismayed” to read an item in last week’s Herald (John Gaskell column, Page 27, April 6) that their favourite race was under threat.
Their dedicated trainer had to call in a duck psychologist to boost their morale, but after hours of careful motivation they are now back to full strength and racing even faster.
So the popular Great Farnham Duck Race promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Gostrey Meadow on Saturday, April 29 will be buzzing with lively amusements and stalls. This year the funds raised will support the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and other Rotary charities.
Tickets will be on sale every Saturday in Farnham during April and they can also be obtained online from https://www.tickettailor.com/events/farhamweysiderotaryclub/893004
This year, in particular, is an exciting year for the country, and the Farnham Weyside Rotary Club has plans to give the Great Farnham Duck Race a new twist, so look out for an announcement soon, and follow all the news on the Farnham Weyside Rotary Club’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Farnhamweysiderotary
