Dog walkers have been advised to keep their pets on a lead while filming is under way in Bourne Woods.
TV production giants HBO are currently filming the second series of Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon in the woodland south of Farnham.
A public notice in the woods states: “Please be aware that some pathways and areas are currently closed off due to various SFX/stunt sequences, fast moving horses and increased vehicle movements within the bowl.
“To keep everyone as safe as possible, we would kindly ask to keep dogs on leads when walking around the bowl.”
The notice also apologised for “any inconvenience”.
The popular woodland has been thrown back into medieval times with its tree-lined bowl routinely filled with knights decked out in heavy armour, riding horses, wielding swords and shields in recent weeks, ready to begin battle.
House of the Dragon season two will be released in 'late spring/early summer of 2024', and can be watched in the UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW.
Forestry England has been hosting filming events on its land at Bourne Wood for over 20 years. The woodland near Farnham has been the backdrop to many internationally renowned films and television series, including Gladiator, Harry Potter, Warhorse, Thor, Wonder Woman and Transformers 3, and more recently Netflix productions like The Crown and The Witcher.
Bourne Woods is the only Forestry England woodland in the country to have secured the permanent change of use for filming purposes, as well as forestry.
The Forestry Commission says income from filming activities is reinvested into looking after its forests and woodlands.
