INTEREST in a Bordon shopping centre is hotting up as an Indian restaurant is about to open.
The Forest Centre is getting at least two new businesses as units 5 and 9 have been let out.
The doors to the latter could be reopened this week as Bordon Curry House has moved into the former HSBC unit. Food will also be the focus at number five with signage appearing above the door for Ayla Restaurant & Café and Village Pizza & Burgers.
A spokesman said the centre’s managing agents CyanPower was hopeful of letting out more units in the coming weeks. And that’s got to be good news as the departure of Wilko has left a big hole.
“We should be letting out another couple of units soon and we’re nearly full again in terms of occupancy,” said a spokesman for the Fareham firm, which has been employed to “maximise the centre’s potential”.
“The owners are also converting the first-floor offices into residential units and 11 of them have gone so far. There’s more in the pipeline.”
