AN INVESTIGATION into a series of horsebox and trailer thefts has landed an East Hampshire man in court.
William Harris has been charged with a count of receiving stolen goods after a probe by Thames Valley Police.
The 27-year-old, whose address is listed by police as Farnham Road, Petersfield, is one of six men who is facing a count of conspiracy to steal by postal requisition.
The charges relate to the theft of several trailers and horseboxes from addresses in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the Midlands in autumn 2021.
The other men arrested include James Maughan, 62, of Wheatley, Sami Nafa, 32, of Brentford, Ameet Saroav, 43, of Southall, and Wokingham pair William Stokes Jr, 25, and William Stokes Sr, 48.
Stokes Jr and Sr have also been charged with three and two counts, respectively, of receiving stolen goods, with the sextet due to appear at Slough Magistrates Court on January 23.
