A FESTIVE event in which businesses, schools and charities put their Christmas tree-decoration skills to the test will light up an Alton church this weekend.

You’ll be pining for the Parish of the Resurrection as its Christmas Tree Festival will feature more than 60 beautifully lit specimens.

Expect live music, festive refreshments and a tombola from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and from midday to 4pm on Sunday. Free entry with donations to local charities.
