GINA Finbow, a Churt-based chef, has produced hundreds of meals for front-line staff at Frimley Park Hospital since the beginning of lockdown – thanks to a fruitful partnership with butcher Hand’s of Rowledge and Waitrose in Farnham.
The former Ivy chef, who now runs her eponymous events business from Churt, has delivered lunches to NHS workers three times a week since the start of lockdown – completely free of charge.
Gina said: “Not surprisingly, all my clients have moved their bookings out by a least six months. So with a bit of time on my hands, I wanted to see if I could help.”
And she’s had some very positive feedback from her grateful new clients.
“Totally amazing food and such a massive boost for staff who are working incredibly hard – thank you to all, you are our heroes,” said Monica Eve, a specialist midwife at Frimley.
Gina thanked Hand’s of Rowledge for its “outstanding support with unlimited top-quality meat and poultry”, Waitrose and Partners, and “especially Alice at Community Matters Farnham and Debbie at Fleet”, and WKThomas packaging for providing the food containers.
