AS the NHS prepares to update Hampshire County Council on progress made on the improvements to services at Bordon's Chase Community Hospital, one woman is still campaigning against the closure of the beds.
On Tuesday, the NHS will fill in councillors on how they are getting on with the scheme to invest nearly £3m in the hospital to maintain it as a modern, thriving facility.
But this week campaigner Fiona Jackson said she was not going to stop her effort to retain the beds ward at the Chase.
She vowed: "I am going to write to Downing Street and I'm going to ask them if they'll step in and stop the beds being closed. It's never over until the fat lady sings!"
