Nine local potters and a sculptor will stage their Ceramicus 2022 exhibition at the Allen Gallery in Alton from October 1 to 30.

Ceramicus held four exhibitions in Alton between 2014 and 2021. This talented local group is presenting its latest work, giving visitors a chance to buy hand-crafted items direct from the artists.

The exhibition will show a wide range of throwing, hand-building and sculpting techniques and firing methods. There will be stoneware, porcelain, exciting Raku and fascinating colours obtained from wood firing.

The group is holding a meet-the-artist session on the morning of October 1. The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30am to 4pm and admission is free. All work may be taken away on the day.
