Join in the autumnal atmosphere and celebrate the season’s crops at the Alton Harvest Festival.

Bring your family and friends along for some fun at the free event on Saturday, September 14 from 10am to 2pm at Alton Public Gardens. There are a bunch of activities lined up to suit everyone but one highlight will be Alton in Bloom.

The community grow show shines a light on the fruits and vegetables grown by members of the community. As well as a display, it is a competition with prizes for supersized prize produce, wonky, weird or funny fruit and veggies, tallest sunflower and more.

Amplifying the festive atmosphere will be a soul-stirring performance by the band Blue Eyed Soul at 12pm. Don’t forget to enjoy the eclectic mix of stalls, scrumptious food and local brews from selected vendors.

So grab a picnic blanket and head down for few hours of local merriment.
