A SERIOUS case review is under way to investigate the death of a six-week-old Bordon girl.
Ezmai Martin was found unresponsive by her mother at their home in New Road, on June 28, 2015, after suffering a fractured skull. She was taken to hospital, but later died of her injuries.
A 19-year-old man was arrested and bailed pending further investigation.
A Hampshire police spokesman said: “Officers were called to a flat in New Road following reports that a six-week-old baby girl had been taken unwell. Shortly after 5pm officers were met at the flat by colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service.
“The girl was taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital (Guildford) and later transferred to St George’s Hospital in London, where she later sadly died.
“A man arrested in connection with this investigation answered bail today on April 19 and has been re-bailed until May 25 pending further enquiries.”
The Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board spokesman said: “The board can confirm that it has commissioned a serious case review and this is in progress.”
