COUNTY councillors have appealed for commonsense from an HGV driver training company accused of teaching Army truck drivers on inappropriate residential roads.

The routes chosen by Bordon-based company J Coates for huge vehicles, sometimes towing trailers, have led to mounting complaints from both north and south of Farnham.

Particular hotspots have been Drovers Way and Trinity Hill through the Folly Hill Estate in Hale and Green Lane off Shortheath Road, both of them used for practising hill-starts.
