Alton Town Council has raised its share of the council tax bill by three per cent for 2024-25.

Residents of Band D properties will pay £113.59, a rise of £3.31 on their 2023-24 council tax bill.

This means the total amount the council aims to raise through council tax – known as its precept – is £851,976.11.

The precept, and the council budget, were approved at the full council meeting on January 10.
