Vehicles from a bygone era are expected to bring a touch of glamour and nostalgia as they roll into town on August 31 for the Alton Classic Car Show.
Now in its 21st year, the show is coming of age with the added attraction of some iconic emergency services vehicles.
They will join vehicles dating back, weather permitting, to the early part of the last century, each lovingly restored and providing a glimpse of the history of the automobile around the globe.
There will be live music, dancing, singing, a craft fair, model cars, children’s activities and a chance to sample Alton’s shops, restaurants, pubs and culture.
Organised by Alton Lions Club, this family-friendly event will run from 10am to 4pm, with road closures covering the High Street, Market Street, Turk Street, Cross & Pillory Lane and Market Square from 6am to 6pm.
