MONSTER crowds are expected in Festival Hall this Friday as The Winton Players will lift the curtain on “Petersfield’s Proper Panto”.
Their take on Beauty and Beast seems to have a gallic theme with characters like Monique, Jacques and Marcel (Joff Lacey – that man again) on a magnifique bill.
Expect plenty of mincing from Phill Humphries as Madame Fifi with Daisy Bedford, George Pinhorn and Jez Austin landing the roles of Belle, Prince Danton and The Beast, respectively.
The script by Alan P Frayn is packed with originality and comedy to die for and boasts a wicked enchantress and selection of comic-book characters.
It’s a fast-moving and action-packed adventure with dramatic and tender moments along the way.
All systems are l’escargot with the opening show starting at 7.30pm this Friday with performances at 1pm and 6pm on Saturday and 2pm and 7.30pm on Sunday.
Further shows will take place next Friday and Saturday, for tickets and more details visit www.wintonplayers.co.uk/pantomime
Tickets are also available from One Tree Books or the Town Visitor Centre on 01730 26418.
